With a blazing 77 year history, the Annual Orange Blossom Parade 2014 will be held on Saturday February 22nd in Davie, along Davie Road between Orange Drive and SW 39th Street.
Worth noting is the kick starter of the Parade, a Festival on Feb 22nd & 23rd that features over 250 displays from various vendors and sponsors, and the free activities include an arts & crafts show, fine arts show, western town display, live music, Native American display, animal farm, western carriage display as well as different informational and commercial product displays. There will also be free concerts on both 22nd & 23rd and admission is free for all to attend.
The main event, 77th Annual Orange Blossom Parade will be held at the same location on Saturday Feb 22nd 2014 at 10:00pm, this year’s theme is “Davie Honors the Armed Forces and Acknowledges Davie Road as a Purple Heart Trail.”
To participate in the parade, an application can be found on the County’s website at www.davie-fl.gov
While out in Davie to support the 77th Orange Blossom Parade, stay on for the Heritage Championship Rodeo at 7:30pm, held on the grounds of Bergeron Rodeo of Davie. Tickets of the championship are $18 in advance and $20 at gate, and is worth every penny as guests watch real cowboys and cow gals from around the world compete for the championship titles.
Certainly a fun weekend for all, but due to the street closures for the Festival and Parade, it is highly recommended to plan alternative driving routes and parking situations in ahead of time.
